Oh, it's not anything terrible dramatic, just a pain. Literally. Glass broke in kitchen; swept swept swept and yet teeny tiny little piece got embedded in heel while walking barefoot down the hallway; can NOT seem to get it out for it's already many days now. Wood splinters you can at least see. I have all this hiking/running/yoga stuff I want to do and instead I'm having problems even walking. Maybe I'll get it out tomorrow...
Oh, it wasn't a question of *money* just one of time and being able to find a doctor. Have been travelling slash at work since Friday - Friday in DC and NY, Saturday in NY and DC, Sunday in DC and LA and then drove up to Monterey, and have been working in Monterey ever since. But this morning, the foot soaking plus sterilized needle thing seems to have worked and I am in pain no more. And as I suspected, the absence of pain is really the better way to go! I'm so predictable...

Ay yi yi! What happened? Between you and Lance, there are enough injuries going around.
PS - Google/Blogger seems to be more cooperative about identities these days
